The DLRC Press Story
DLRC Press was founded in 1989 by the late David Lawrence Feigenbaum to publish his first reference book, The Complete Guide to Barber Quarters.
As a former professor, Dave's passion was research and education, and he envisioned a library of reference books on U.S. coinage. The success of this first book launched a series of reference books written by numismatic experts. They all follow a similar formula which has since been widely copied. Each book contains general information on the series, followed by a history of the designer; a grading chapter; counterfeit discussions; errors; and most significantly and detailed discussion of every date and mintmark combination in the series. Fully illustrated as easy to read.
Prior to the publication of the "Complete Guide" books, there was very little information available to collectors. The existence of these important references has been tremendous to the hobby and popularized many of the series.
Most of the DLRC books can be reference for free on our BLOG site: blog.davidlawrence.com.
