About Half Dimes & Dimes
The United States series of dimes, or 10-cent pieces, range from the earliest draped bust issues of 1796 to the modern day Roosevelt series. The different types include: Bust (draped and capped) dimes, Seated dimes, Barber dimes, Mercury (winged-head) dimes and the current Roosevelt dime series. There are many famous issues but the most famous of all is the 1894-S dime. David Lawrence Rare Coins has sold 2 of the 11 known examples of this major rarity. Other popular key date dimes include: 1796, 1871-CC, 1872-CC, 1873-CC, 1874-CC, 1895-O, 1916-D, 1942/1 and many others. If you would like some assistance with your dime collection, contact one of us at David Lawrence today.
