About 20-Cent Pieces

Twenty cent pieces are popular for their unique denomination as well as the intrigue of the short-lived series. These coins were only issued from 1875-1878 as the odd denomination was unpopular among the population at that time. The series produced on very famous rarity, the 1876-CC of which fewer than 2 dozen coins are known. Two issues, 1877-1878 are proof only mintages. Regards of how these coins were received back in the 1870's, they are very popular among coin collectors today.
