About Modern Commemoratives
The Moderns United States commemorative series (Modern Commems, for short) is an ongoing series of issues first struck in 1982 with the 1982 Washington half dollar design. Most of the silver issues are now struck in $1 denominations and there are numerous $5 gold issues with the more contemporary designs struck in $10 gold denominations. These coins are widely popular for their availability and collectors typically seek to buy coins in MS/Proof 69 or MS/Proof 70 grades in PCGS or NGC holders. If you would like some assistance with your modern commemorative collection, contact one of us at David Lawrence today.
