About 2-Cent & 3-Cent Pieces

Two Cent pieces were issued by the U.S. Mint minted from 1864-1873. Silver Three Cent pieces, also known as Trimes, were issued from 1851-1873, while the Nickel Three Cent coins were minted from 1865-1869. The designs, on the nickel three cent pieces were standard for its mintage, whereas the Trime was made in three different varieties. The Two-Cent was made with only a Small Motto and a Large Motto. None of these issues were minted for a long time-span by the U.S. Mint, but all are popular due to their scarcity and novelty.
