Item Description: Very popular and scarce Small Eagle type, issued for only two years, 1796 and 1797. There were only 3,918 coins minted for both dates combined, making the Small Eage half dollar one of the true rarities in all of numismatics. The coin offered here is deeply toned with lighter devices. Exceptional detail for the Fine grade, with two-thirds hair detail  and bold Eagle detail. Fresh, original surfaces. A truly rare opportunity. CAC approved this one for quality as well.
