Auction #225 > Lot #3026 > U.S. Coins > Large Cents 1793 1c Liberty Cap PCGS/CAC Good-6 DLRC #: 232780

A pleasing example of this scarce Liberty Cap type coin. The planchet is a little rough as one would expect for a Good but the coin appears to never have been cleaned and is quite wholesome. There is a light old scratch on the obverse but it appears nearly as old as the coin. Another light scratch is noted on the reverse from the O in ONE to the R in AMERICA. Neither scratch is worse the one would expect from a coin of this grade.

This issue rarely comes on the market and auction appearances have been few and far between in any grade. The last Good-6 in auction (NGC graded) realized $14,950 (Heritage; 1/06). CW Trends is approximately $12,500.
