The 1804 quarter is far scarcer than the 1796 quarter which typically brings more money at auction because of its status as a one-year type coin. However, serious collectors are well aware of the difficulty in obtaining a nice 1804! This coin is perfect for the grade with problem free surfaces and choice originality. A similar coin just realized $10,350 at Heritage (1/08)
