Green label holder. Mintage of just 5,083 coins. 13 Leaves below Eagle.

Extremely popular first official U.S. Mint gold $10. Even golden color with plenty of remaining luster. Very high end and as nice as some AU50's we've handled. Also, a fascinating mint error as there is a complete extra star (incuse struck) in the obverse rim area at 8 o'clock. The reverse rims are stamps with the word UNITED (again, incuse) on the rim from 9-12 o'clock. We're not sure how this happened but it's a great piece and possibly quite unique.

An extremely fresh coin that is considerably undergraded by current standards. We think the coin would look very good in an XF45 holder and bidding is likely to reflect that.
