All proof type II 3-cent silvers are rare. We do not know how many proofs of this date were actually struck, but according to Breen no more than 25-30 coins are known of this rare proof issue. This lovely gem has medium toning, as do most proofs of this era, with shades of reds and greens mixed throughout. A true old-school gem.
