This coin is part of the famed Chipping Norton Hoard of 59 gold United, 54 of which were struck in England (the other 5 in Scotland) that was discovered near Chipping Norton, England back in the 1980's. The hoard was noteworthy for the large size of these individual coins which represented a lot of value during the time of their minting -- 1609-1625. An unique opportunity to obtain one of these classic discovery coins.
