A stunning gem proof rarity from the Kingdom of Hawaii. During the mintage year of 1883, Charles Barber designed and the San Francisco Mint struck just 26 proof sets for special presentation purposes. These coins are extremely rare today and high grade examples are extremely desirable. There are just 3 coins in the pop report in this grade (2 at PCGS, 1 at NGC. None are cameo). This coin may be the finest, coming in as a Proof 66+ Cameo. We note only one other cameo (Proof 63 Cam). From the aesthetic, it's amazing. Crystal clear mirrors with russet and blue toning.

A great coin for the specialist. CAC approved for quality and eye appeal.
