Also known as Judd-1635, this is the world famous Stella -- named for the 5-pointed star on the reverse. Just 425 of these coins were struck, mostly for the purposes of handing out to Congressmen to examine.This Proof 58 example is an ideal type coin for the collector who has always wanted to own one of these exciting rarities. They are many other impaired proof examples but they have been harshly cleaned, mounted for jewelry or otherwise damaged. This coin is choice for the grade, as is evidenced by the secondary approval of CAC.
