Item Description:
Satiny and bright, with ample luster in the fields. The surfaces are attractive for the grade, although we note a fine line in the right obverse field. Well struck with minimal weakness on the upper devices, and a nice coin for the grade. Important as the transitional year where the silver content was reduced to reflect the Gold Rush market condition created by the onslaught of gold coming from California a the time. The arrows announced the reduction in silver at the date and rays around the eagle.
