PCGS #35729. A lovely piece with satiny, deep chocolate brown surfaces. Boldly defined and quite pleasing for the assigned grade, with some neat die clashing. Almost all of the S-78 issues have this same "pitted planchet," as they all came from the same low quality stock from England.
Mintage of 3,942 coins struck in proof format. Mostly red with some bronze toning, mainly confined to the reverse. Housed in an older style NGC holder.
