    Desirable Proof Trade Dollar

    1876 Trade$ PCGS Proof 62 Cameo

    Next Bid: $3,200.00
    Closes: 2D 4H

Mintage of 1,150 coins. The 1873-78 Trade dollar proofs are much scarcer than the 1880-83 (proof only) issues and are much harder to find. Obverse and Reverse type 2. Just enough gold and orange toning burns in slightly from the rims to make note of, framing light golden centers on each side.

    Desirable Proof Trade Dollar

    1879 Trade$ PCGS Proof 65 Cameo

    Next Bid: $8,500.00
    Closes: 2D 4H

Proof-only date and a great type coin with a mintage of just 1,541 coins struck overall. Pop 24 in PR65CAM with only 23 finer. Deep Cameos practically do not exist and Gem Cameos are still quite difficult to find. This example boasts deep mirrors and particularly strong contrast on the obverse.

    Scarce Proof-Only Trade Dollar

    1880 Trade$ PCGS/CAC Proof 61

    Next Bid: $2,750.00
    Closes: 2D 4H

Proof-only date and a great type coin with a mintage of just 1,987 coins struck overall. A strong argument for Cameo could be made save for a small amount of impedance in the right obverse field. This piece features a lovely light golden hue throughout with intense mirrors on both sides. CAC approved for quality and eye appeal.

    Scarce Early Proof Morgan

    1879 $1 PCGS Proof 62

    Next Bid: $3,250.00
    Closes: 2D 6H

Beautifully toned example from a lower mintage of 1,100 coins struck in proof format, the 1879 Proof Morgan is seen far less often in the market than it's contemporaries of the 1880's. Bright mirrors feature pretty purple, blue, and golden tints framing sharp pale golden tinted central devices.

    Scarce Early Proof Morgan

    1879 $1 PCGS/CAC Proof 64+

    Next Bid: $5,500.00
    Closes: 2D 6H

From a lower mintage of 1,100 coins struck in proof format, the 1879 Proof Morgan is seen far less often in the market than it's contemporaries of the 1880's. Well struck with plenty of character. Rich golden centers with very visible mirrors underneath. Attractive peripheral toning of orange and deeper gold can be seen on both sides, too.

    Scarce Early Proof Morgan

    1879 $1 NGC/CAC Proof 64 Cameo

    Next Bid: $5,850.00
    Closes: 2D 6H

Mintage of 1,100 coins struck in proof format. Your attention is sure to be drawn in by the deep golden tones that radiate through all the surfaces on both side. Strong detail and no weakness can be observed anywhere throughout. Likely the reason why the coin is CAC approved for quality.

    Nice and Original

    1881 $1 PCGS/CAC Proof 64

    Next Bid: $5,500.00
    Closes: 2D 6H

Only 984 proofs struck of this issue. A lovely gold patina covers the fields and portrait alike surrounded by deeper tan/golden toned rims. A touch of softness over the ear is perhaps what kept the coin from grading higher. A phenomenal CAC approved 64 by our measure.

    Pretty Rim Tints

    1883 $1 PCGS Proof 62

    Next Bid: $3,300.00
    Closes: 2D 6H

Only 1,039 proofs struck of this issue. Illustrious light golden centers are framed by light rainbow toning around the rims. This is demonstrated more impactfully on the reverse rim at 6 o'clock, where one can distinguish blue, green, purple, red, and orange tones.

    Satiny White Mirrors

    1883 $1 NGC Proof 65

    Next Bid: $6,600.00
    Closes: 2D 6H

Only 1,039 proofs struck of this issue. An exemplary Gem Proof with modest contrast and deep mirrors. Very subtle gold toning throughout. An evident light hairline on the cheek is clearly what holds this back from a higher grade.

    Deep Toning

    1885 $1 PCGS Proof 64

    Next Bid: $3,400.00
    Closes: 2D 6H

Mintage of just 930 coins struck in proof format. Steel blue and lavender tones adorn 90% of the obverse with olive accent toning radiating from deep mirrors. The reverse is magnificent with a toning pattern that is actually the inverse of the obverse where it is dominated by olive toning with purple accents interspersed. An absolutely lovely proof Morgan Dollar.

    Nicely Original

    1885 $1 PCGS/CAC Proof 65

    Next Bid: $6,850.00
    Closes: 2D 6H

Mintage of just 930 coins struck in proof format. Gorgeous! Lilac toning rests over rich golden surfaces creating a sunset motif on both sides. Some lighter lavender can be seen on the reverse giving it an even more dynamic look across both sides. CAC approved for quality.

    Lovely Rose Highlights

    1885 $1 NGC Proof 64 Cameo

    Next Bid: $5,000.00
    Closes: 2D 6H

Mintage of just 930 coins struck in proof format. This razor sharply struck example has strong eye appeal. Some light spots are all but completely overshadowed by deep watery fields and heavily frosted portrait. A good argument could be made for UCAM on this honey golden proof.

    Flashy and Reflective

1886 $1 PCGS Proof 65+ Cameo ex: Jack Lee

    Next Bid: $8,000.00
    Closes: 2D 6H

Mintage of 886 coins struck in proof format. Coins from the late & great Jack Lee are seldom seen as they are quite coveted by collectors who knew of him. This proof Morgan Dollar has a strong cameo contrast between it's thickly frosted portrait and mostly clean mirrored fields. There are a few areas of cloudiness, notably in the left field and over the cap at 1 O'clock, though, the overall eye appeal is still very strong.
