    Near Mint State Beauty

    1797 1/2c PCGS AU58+ BN (C-1) ex: D.L. Hansen

A near-mint state example of this early half cent issue. Beautiful copper-brown surfaces shimmer and no distracting marks are visible. A bold "1" can be seen over the 1 in the date. Great details in the hair show little sign of wear. A slight weak strike can be seen on the "Y" in Liberty on the obverse and on the reverse over America.

    Pretty Toning

1844 1/2c PCGS Proof 65 BN (Restrike) ex: D.L. Hansen

There are only three of this issue graded finer, but it is a wonder that there are any! This piece is an all-around winner. Spectacular red, green, and gold tinted fields showcase the frosty, boldly-detailed devices. Luster shines through the ultra reflective surfaces. The primary coin in the Hansen Collection is a Proof 65 Red-Brown!

Only One CAC Example Graded Finer

    1897 1c PCGS/CAC MS66+ RD ex: D.L. Hansen

Electric gold, orange, and red toning is abundant on the obverse while the reverse boasts calm satiny gold coloration. Sharp legends shine and shimmer against lustrous matte surfaces. Accurate details grace both sides of this piece and the eye appeal is off the chart! PCGS+ grade for premium quality at the top of end of the assigned grade. CAC approved for quality and eye appeal. The Hansen Collection holds a MS67 Red example for the date in the primary set.
