1794 1/2c NGC MS61 BN (C-4a, Low Relief)

DLRC #: 171110 // PCGS #: 1003

A superb mint state specimen of this early half cent. Mint state 1794 half cents are truly scarce and very desirable. Auction appearances are few and far between. The coin has a gorgeous planchet with smooth, even luster and razor-sharp details. We could see this piece one day in an MS63 holder, it's so nice. A light planchet coloration is noted on the portrait, but does not detract from the overall eye appeal.
