Item Description:
A historic Civil War medal that was struck to commemorate one of the great generals of the Confederate States of America. In fact, PGT Beuregard as he was more often referred, was the commander that ordered the firing on the walls of Fort Sumter in the Charleston Harbor as the beginning of the Civil War. 92% silver, 6% copper and 17.7 mm, this reeded edge issue is one of the crown jewels of Civil War numismatics and nearly impossible to find without damage or a hole which was created for suspension of the coin on a necklace.
