Item Description:
A scarce note from the "Ashby" series of Virginia that is well above average in condition for the type. Signed by John Tazewell, a member of the important early Virginia family. The reverse of the note is hand-signed by Robert Carter Nicholas, the Tresurer of Virginia at the time.
