Item Description:
While the first year of issue of the Proof striking occurred in 1936, the most famous of their series, the second-year issue of 1937 is also quite difficult, especially in such high grades. With a mintage of only 5,542 pieces, high-grade examples are rare, especially this nice. This PR68 coin is one of only five so certified by PCGS with none numerically finer at that service.
