Item Description:
Problem free with honest wear and appreciable remaining luster. Very desirable Classic head quarter eagle from the Dahlonega mint. Only 13,674 of these were struck and the majority of survivors exist in lower grades. 1839 was the first year of mintage for quarter eagles in Dahlonega, and only the second year the Mint saw production -- adding to this coin's desirability.
