Very desirable as an early draped bust type coin with the small eagle reverse. 16 stars are engraved on the obverse to represent the count of states in the Union at the time of issue. Gorgeous AU specimen with sharp detail and well preserved surfaces that reveal no individually distracting abrasions. Strong underlying luster is appreciable beneath rich violet and blue-green hues with touches of golden toning around the rims. Great eye appeal!
