A lustrous example of the highly elusive and sought-after Large Date variety double eagle. Bold, crisp detail remains and lovely honey-gold color graces both sides of this amazingly preserved piece. This coin was recovered from Steamship Central America shipwreck from which only 19 coins were recovered however there is no annotation of either small or large date. CAC approved for quality.
