Realized: $3,250.

Item Description:
A very tough Civil War era Double Eagle struck at the San Francisco mint. Despite showing signs of moderate circulation, this lovely date/mintmark retains some luster around the obverse stars, and quite a surprising amount of cartwheel luster on the reverse! A historic and appealing example.
