Central America shipwreck were dated 1857-S, there was also a fair number of 1856-S double eagles recovered from the Ship of Gold. This stunning example is tied for finest known Full Serif, S Tilted right example. Clean and lustrous surfaces radiate ample mint luster and showcase ideal sunny-golden coloration throughout. A choice example that saw fantastic preservation this would be an exciting addition to any collection of high-end double eagles or shipwreck treasure. CAC approved for quality and eye appeal.
