Item Description:
Rare, High Grade 1878-S Quarter
Wow! A really exciting high grade example of this rare Seated quarter. 1878-S is a great year for Seated coinage, especially the renowned half dollar rarity. But the quarter denomination of this same year doesn't get the recognition it deserves and serious collectors of the series are well aware of the difficulty in finding this coin in high grade. Interestingly, this is only the second example of this date we've ever handled! The only other coin was an NGC MS62 that we sold in the Richmond Collection in 2005.

CAC approved for quality and eye appeal.
