Item Description:
The 1856-D gold dollar hails from a tiny mintage of just 1,460 coins, and PCGS/NGC have graded only 13 in mint state. The cherry AU58 coin has superb eye appeal with a great strike and luster, especially given that it's only an AU58. The last few PCGS appearances at auction have brought $14,950 (Heritage; 9/07 & 2/07)
