A simply superb gem proof of this elusive Seated half dollar struck during the final year of the Civil War. Clear sharp mirrors, and mostly untoned surfaces with great eye appeal. The total mintage of this issue in proof is just 500 coins but only a few coins exist in this quality, with only one or two finer at PCGS. Additionally, the coin has been CAC approved for quality and eye appeal.
