Item Description:
A breath-taking example of the ever popular first year of Civil War issuance. Bright yellow surfaces with highlights of golden-orange color on the high points are accented by the cameo frosting found on Liberty's profile. The faintly prooflike fields are ever so slightly hairlined and, in combination with a minor scrape over the eagle's head on the reverse, account for the grade. Truly one of our favorite examples seen of this issue.  CAC approved for quality and eye appeal.
