Item Description:
Attractive, orange toning and great eye appeal. As usual, the rims and denticles are weak and this particular piece has a natural flaw in the center of the reverse, affecting the 1 of the denomination and the second L of DOLLAR. Surprisingly, Harry Bass' 1859-C Gold Dollar was only EF-45! This was the last year that Gold Dollars were produced at the Charlotte Mint.
