1837 1c Feuchtwanger PCGS MS63

DLRC #: 96827 // PCGS #: 20001

A token minted by Dr. Lewis Feuchtwanger in 1837 to demonstrate his new allow of nickel, copper and zinc, which he argued woul dbe more cost effective for the US Mint than copper. Although not rare, mint state examples are very difficult to find and this coin is quite nice. Priced at $450 in 'Unc' (MS60) in the cuirrent Redbook
